Why Target a Provincial Nominee Program
Provincial Nominee Programs work to attract skilled talent to meet their local labor demands. Provinces do this by nominating applicants and give them PNP certificates.
Nominations grant candidates an additional 600 CRS points, virtually guaranteeing an ITA in future PNP-specific draws.
Every province has its own Provincial Nominee Program. A PNP has multiple streams in it to attract different sectors of workers.
Now days, PNPs are majorly favoring healthcare, childcare, trades and STEM workers. Majority of Provinces do not want hospitality and food sector workers and closed or paused draws for them.
You can visit the websites of the provinces to know more on their current labor needs and what sectors are in demand.
If you are a potential international student in Canada target those provinces for study which value its international students and favors them in their PNPs such as New Brunswick PNP.
If you are an international graduate or foreign worker in Canada you can change your province and move where you are more valued in provincial nominee programs. PNP is a golden ticket to Canadian Permanent Residency.
