Canadian economy is making headlines in the news as it has added a massive 83,000 jobs in June 2025, signaling a strong momentum in labor market despite global uncertainties

Employment increased by 83000(0.4%) in June and employment rate rose by 0.1 % percentage points to current 60.90%. Whereas, due to new jobs added in June the unemployment rate fell by 0.1% to 6.9%.

Employment rose more in Men group (25 to 54 years old) with +62000 jobs and +0.8% increment than in same age women group with +29000 jobs and +0.4% increment.

The biggest rise in employment is seen in wholesale and retail and then in healthcare and social assistance whereas employment declined in agriculture and little to no change in other industries.
