This is a land mark policy change decision announced by, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on July 29, 2025. It will begin including the officer decision notes with the application refusal letters.
This is the new beginning in the immigration industry, for the first time ever applicants will receive detailed explanation from the IRCC officer, why the Canada application is refused?.
This will lead to elimination of filing ATIP request to IRCC. ATIP costs resources plus only be done by Canadian permanent resident or Citizens moreover it takes months to get the request results.
Why IRCC Officer Decision Notes Matter
Until now, most applicants received vague refusal letters from IRCC like:
“You have not demonstrated sufficient ties to your home country.”
or
“We are not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay.”
