Good news for applicants waiting for Express Entry Draw. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted the first Express Entry Draw of August 2025 with 225 ITAs issued to eligible applicants.
This is Express Entry PNP Draw means only PNP holders were invited for the application.
Details of the EXPRESS ENTRY Draw:
- Applicants needed minimum CRS score of 739
- Tie breaking rule: April 23, 2025 at 06:35:51 UTC
Tie Breaking rule means applicants created the express entry profile before above mentioned date and time were eligible for the draw.

We can analyze from the above data that IRCC is conducting frequent Express Entry PNP draws means IRCC is favoring applicants who are selected by the provinces. These applicants are in demand in provinces and have strong profile.
Furthermore we can analyze that PNP draws are smaller in size but frequent in numbers when compared to targeted Express Entry draws such as healthcare and etc.
If we compare with the last EE PNP draw which was conducted on Jul 21, 2025 we see increment in ITAs issued and reduction in CRS score cutt off.
Previous to this, Express Entry healthcare draw was conducted on Jul 22, 2025 and 4,000 ITAs were issued.
IRCC has mentioned in its news bulletin that they want to focus on inhouse candidates in Express Entry system . This means applicants who are inside Canada have more chances of receiving an ITA than applicant outside Canada.
Should you target PNP Draw?
If your CRS score is low for example if you don’t have bachelors degree then yes you should consider EE PNP option as it grants you additional 600 points in CRS pool making a confirmed ITA in the subsequent draw.
You can contact your provincial PNP department to know more about the different PNP streams and selection patter. Currently almost every province is favoring skilled worker over unskilled workers such as healthcare, childcare , construction and trades are favored over retail and restaurant industry.
