New Brunswick immigration department (NBPNP) has released the data of its latest immigration draws, held between August 11 and August 19, 2025, inviting a total of 1,052 candidates across multiple streams for PNP. This data presents important information to applicants on which occupations are in demand in NB and what programs to target.
A total of 1,052 invitations issued under Skilled Worker Stream and Express Entry Stream. These streams have their own different pathways.
Skilled Worker Stream – New Brunswick Experience PNP
Under this stream a total of 481 invitations issued to targeted occupations which are healthcare, education and social & community services, and construction trades. Important to note that some occupations were excluded.
The excluded occupations are:
NOC 42201 – Social and community service workers and NOC 75101 – Material handlers
This draw continues New Brunswick’s focus on health-care professionals and construction trade workers, two sectors facing significant labour shortages across Atlantic Canada. This is the reason we always tell our students to study healthcare and trade programs as these are in demand of both IRCC list and Provinces list.
Skilled Worker Stream – New Brunswick Graduates PNP
In this stream a total of 389 invitations issued across all sectors but certain occupations were excluded from the draw which are:
- NOC 42201 – Social and community service workers (excluded),
- NOC 62200 – Chefs (excluded) and
- NOC 75101 – Material handlers (excluded)
The province is clearly encouraging international students who completed their studies in New Brunswick to transition to permanent residency, reinforcing its commitment to retaining local graduates. Important to note that you study at public NB DLI’s so that you also become eligible for Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
