This draw is second PNP draw of October and 20th PNP draw of 2025. For this year IRCC has focused on PNP draws more than any other category as IRCC is giving priority applicants holding PNP certificates, they are selected by the provinces plus they are inside Canada working and paying taxes.

Let’s see which category got most draws vs most number of ITAs issued.

Draw Type# of DrawsITAs Issued to Date
French736,000
CEC1122,850
Healthcare & Social Services59,792
PNP207,249
Education23,500
Trade11,250

French draws got most ITA’s more than healthcare and CEC combined, this shows IRCC wants more French speakers in Canada. Majority of the applicants inside Canada don’t speak French language. As per the recent data from IRCC under French language draws most of the applicants are from African countries, as in these African countries French is spoken.

CEC and PNP draws comes under Inside Canada focus category, means these applicants are already in Canada and IRCC wants them to settle permanently in Canada.

Next Express Entry CRS Score Prediction

If you are inside Canada on work permit and exploring PR options via Express Entry, you must know that just by submitting Express Entry profile doesn’t guarantee Invitation To Apply (ITA), you have to pass the CRS score cut off requirements.

Inside Canada after working for one year under skilled occupations you become eligible for CEC draws but now days the CRS cut off for CEC applicants is almost impossible to achieve, even if you score around 500 , you will be worried.

From the beginning of this year, CEC CRS score had ranged from 518 to 542, most of the times it was higher than 530, with the intense competition and reduced PR numbers and priority to French speakers we can predict that CEC CRS score will maintain high cut off.

You can explore priority sectors draws for e.g. healthcare and social services and education. You can also learn French to become eligible under this draw. As these draws have lower CRS score cut off than CEC draws.

To qualify under the PNP stream you need to apply PNP first to the provincial government. Every province and territory of Canada has its own PNP stream, you can contact your province to know more on how you can qualify. Majority of the provinces are are NOT accepting retail, food and hotel sector workers and focusing on healthcare, childcare and trade sector workers.
