Canada has launched the free dental care for everyone to make dental care more affordable for Canadians. This plan provides coverage for essential dental services to those who meet the eligibility requirements.
What are Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the CDCP, you must meet all 4 of these requirements:
- You don’t have access to dental insurance
- You must not have access to private dental coverage through an employer or pension plan, a professional or student organization and personal purchase of insurance.
- You and Your Spouse/Common-Law Partner Must Have Filed Taxes in Canada
- Your Adjusted Family Net Income is Less Than $90,000
- You Must Be a Canadian Resident for Tax Purposes
If you have dental coverage through provincial, territorial or government social program, you can still qualify for the CDCP.
If you are a temporary foreign worker in Canada and meet the eligibility requirements you can apply for this benefit. International students who meet the requirements should apply to avail the benefits.
