Exciting news for applicants waiting for Express Entry Draws. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted fifth Express Entry draw of August and issued 192 invitations to apply (ITAs). But troubling also as CRS cut off has risen up.
This is Express Entry PNP Draw means only PNP holders were invited for the permanent residence application.

We can analyze from the recent Express Entry draws that there are frequent Express Entry PNP draws plus the cut off score has been climbing steadily in PNP draws, now reaching 800 CRS, the highest since April 2025.
If we compare this EE PNP draw with the last EE PNP draw on Aug 06, 2025 we see rise in CRS cut off and reduction in ITAs issued.
Even if we compare this draw with earlier PNP draws we can observe that EE PNP draws are becoming more competitive with rising CRS cut off.

Future Predictions for Express Entry Draws
More frequent PNP draws – As provinces continue to demand workers for regional labor shortages we will continue to see frequent PNP draws. IRCC has to respect the demands of provinces thus PNP draws will continue through the 2025.
Healthcare, trades, and French proficiency categories may continue seeing cutoffs in the 475–520 CRS range. These are in priority sectors means they will have lower CRS cut off than the general draws.
French language draws seems to be the least competitive Express Entry category based draws of 2025. But French language CRS cut off has risen up from 379 (march 21, 2025) to 481 (august 08,2025).
Should you target PNP Draw?
It depends upon on your CRS score and category you are targeting. If your CRS score is too low because you don’t have a bachelors degree but you are inside Canada then you can consider Express Entry PNP options as it boosts your CRS score by 600 points.
