Manitoba has conducted some Expression of Interest (EOI) draws in the month of June 2025. These draws issued a combined total of 528 Letter to Apply (LAAs) across multiple streams.
This demonstrate Manitoba’s efforts to attract skilled worker and international graduates who have strong ties to Manitiba.
Expression of Interest Draw #248(June 26, 2025)
The draw focused on key two streams: The International Education Stream and the Skilled Worker Stream through strategic recruitment initiatives
The International Education Stream focuses on candidates who studied in Manitoba and have close relatives residing in the province. The applicant must meet the international education stream requirements and declare a Manitoba supporter who is a close relative(Canadian PR or Citizen) residing in Manitoba for at-least 1year.
A total of 478 LAAs issued. This shows Manitoba supports for province’s international graduates and its aim to retain skilled workers holding ties to Manitoba.
The other stream in which draws issued is Skilled Worker Stream. A total of 14 LAAs issued with lowest CRS score invited of 712. Here is the breakdown of this specific draw:
- Employer Services: 5
- Francophone Community: 5
- Regional Communities: 3
- Ethnocultural Communities: 1
Note: Out of 492 total invitations issued, 65 candidates were declared a valid Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code, aligning them with faster federal processing.
Draw #247 – June 12, 2025
This draw targeted the skilled worker overseas candidates who were already directly invited under strategic recruitment initiative.
- LAAs Issued: 36
- Lowest CRS Score Invited: 613
- Express Entry Profiles: 5 candidates had valid Express Entry profiles and job seeker validation codes.
This draw shows the efforts of the Manitoba Government to attract specific talents who meet the specific labor demands of Manitoba and it’s community development goals.
Summary of the Draws
The draws of Manitoba in the month of June shows a strong preference to province international graduates who have local family support. For Skilled workers the preference is for workers who have employer connections or community nominations.
When we see the Express Entry profiles we see very high CRS scores. Means province is favoring the high ranking EE profile holders for PNP.
The other preference we see is for Francophone and ethnocultural candidates.
