The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has invited 862 skilled workers to apply for permanent residency (PR) in its latest Draw #255, held on October 9, 2025.
Breakdown of the October 2025 Manitoba PNP Draw
The candidates were invited under Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream and Skilled workers overseas pathways. In Skilled workers in Manitoba draw specific occupations were targeted and for the Skilled Workers Overseas it was employer driven selection draw.
Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream
A total of 583 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued to candidates currently employed in Manitoba within in-demand health and caregiver occupations. The key occupations targeted were:
- NOC Category 3 — Health Occupations
- NOC 44101 — Home Support Workers, Caregivers, and Related Occupations
Manitoba is facing shortage of healthcare workers and this draw aligns with it’s goal to fill the labor shortage in healthcare sector.
This means international students who study healthcare programs in Manitoba, Canada and get employed in this sector in Manitoba have very good chances of becoming permanent residents under MPNP.
Skilled Worker Overseas Stream
An additional 279 invitations were issued to candidates under the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream, selected through strategic recruitment initiatives including:
- Employer Services-45
- Francophone Community-43
- Regional Communities-8
- Ethnocultural Communities-3
- Temporary Public Policy (Open Work Permit Pathway)-180
This draw is second MPNP draw prioritizing candidates under the Temporary Public Policy, which enabled certain skilled workers in Manitoba to get open work permits while they await their nominations from Manitoba.
Out of the total 862 invitations, 203 invitations were given to candidates holding valid Express Entry profile. These candidates will benefit from faster Express Entry PR processing as they will receive Manitoba PNP.
Eligibility & Common Reasons for Non-Selection
Even qualified candidates may not receive an invitation if:
- Their language test results expired or were missing a valid TRF number.
- Their licensing for regulated occupations in Manitoba was incomplete.
- Their Expression of Interest (EOI) lacked a valid recruitment invitation code.
